Freight & Weights & Special Delivery

All shipments are F.O.B. Saint Louis, Missouri, except when drop shipped from the factory and then are F.O.B. ship point.  All weights show on asapstl.com or other links are estimates and are not guaranteed.  A minimum $25.00 charge is made for special delivery to bus or airport terminals.  All freight charges are estimates and not guaranteed.  American Safety & Abatement Products, Inc. (ASAP) reserves the right to ship via truck line (LTL) prepaid and add at anytime it deems there is a cost savings.  All freight is billed at the same charge as incurred by ASAP, i.e.. if ASAP receives a 60% discount from a LTL carrier this savings is passed on to you.  If you have any questions regarding a shipping  method please feel free to contact us at 800-489-8535 between 7:00am and 5:00pm CST Monday through Friday.

Shipping Date

Every effort is made to comply with scheduled shipping dates; however ASAP is not liable for any loss or damage arising out of delay in delivery of any of its products due to causes beyond its control.

Transportation Claims

The responsibility of ASAP ceases upon delivery of goods in good order to the transportation company, and all goods are shipped at the consignees risk.  If you would like insurance on your United Parcel Service or Federal Express shipment please let us know at the time of order.

For your protection on LTL shipments.  Shipments should be inspected immediately upon receipt by consignee.  If goods are damaged in shipment it is the responsibility of the consignee to have that damage noted on the freight delivery receipt by the delivering carrier.  This includes visible carton damage such as crushed corners, creases, etc.  If the consignee believes there may be concealed damage, or any damage is visible, (regardless of consignee's opinion as to whether it be damaged or defective) the shipment must be inspected by the delivering carrier and an inspection report made.  The carrier, not the shipper, should be charged with any loss or damage and any claim should be filed with the delivering transportation company.  NO CHARGE BACKS WILL BE ALLOWED FOR ARBITRARY CLAIM DEDUCTIONS DUE TO FAILURE OF CARRIERS TO PAY LEGITIMATE CLAIMS IN FULL.

Shortages

All claims for error, shortage or damage must be made within five (5) business days after receipt of goods.  No claim for failure to receive shipment will be honored unless ASAP is notified within a reasonable time after receipt of invoice.
